                         This New Testament Theology is the hermeneutical exercise of a fresh
                     voice in New Testament scholarship, one that should be widely read both
                     in Asia and in the rest of the world. Determinedly dialectic, it tackles the
                     challenges of bridging time (temporality as well as then and now), diversity
                     and unity, and scholarship and faith. It takes as its guiding question, “Who is
                     Jesus, and why does that question matter to the reader?” Poling Sun honors
                     the historical setting of the New Testament writings by seeking to understand

                     the post-Easter perspective on Jesus’ temporality in the narratives of the New
                     Testament writings, then interprets it in the narrative framework of the church’s
                     liturgical year. Having emigrated from Hong Kong after 2019 and now living in
                     Taiwan, for him as for many others today, the theology of the New Testament
