校園雜誌在今年5/6月號徵求的英詩中譯，共計收到三十三篇譯作。參賽者除了台港兩地，還有來自馬來西亞、德國、美國、加拿大等地區。整體而言，譯作都有不錯的水準，每一篇嘔心瀝血的作品，都值得鼓掌。現綜合三位評審的意見，甄選出前三名和五篇佳作。每篇參賽作品，都會寄上評審的親筆評註。評審之一的陳建民教授，為此次徵文寫了一篇精采的評論，從英詩中譯所需掌握的重點，到“On the Wings of Prayer"一詩的姿態和氣質，以及得獎作品的優缺點，一一作了詳盡的分析。

Just close your eyes and open your heart
And feel your worries and cares depart,
Just yield your self to the Father above
And let Him hold you secure in His love -
For life on earth grows more involved
With endless problems that can't be solved-
But God only asks us to do our best,
Then He will "take over" and finish the rest-
So when you are tired, discouraged and blue,
There's always one door that is open to you-
And that is the door to "The House of prayer"
And you'll find God waiting to meet you there,
And "The House of Prayer" is no farther away
Than the quiet spot where you kneel and pray-
For the heart is a temple when God is there
As we place ourselves in His loving care,
And He hears every prayer and answers each one
When we pray in His name " thy will Be Done"
And the burdens that seemed too heavy to bear
Are lifted away on "the wings of prayer"
