"After receiving her PhD at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, Hope became a university professor in Taiwan and steadily served in the church. But after Jesus healed her cancer, athlete’s feet and onychomycosis miraculously in one month that year, God called her and her husband to leave their comfort zone and go to China to preach the gospel to His people, train workers and plant churches.
After 3 years of wrestling with God, Hope finally surrendered, obeyed His calling with a cheerful heart and entered into her destiny.

Hope, her husband KC, and their younger son currently live in North Carolina pastoring a Chinese church while her older son studies in California.

作者小驢駒姐妹在美國北卡大學教堂山分校取得博士學位後，回台灣擔任大學的副教授，並且與在科技大學教書的先生一同做校園事工。
1995年春天，上帝超自然地醫治她的胎盤惡性腫瘤，並在同年7月呼召他們夫婦離開舒適圈，搬到中國宣教，訓練工人並且建立教會。
在歷經三年之久跟上帝摔跤之後，小驢駒終於降服了，以喜樂到爆棚的心來回應上帝的呼召，進入命定。
